Konferencen sætter bl.a. fokus på indvandring af arbejdskraft – herunder den økonomiske krises betydning for at tiltrække velkvalificeret udenlandsk arbejdskraft.   Der kommer ny viden om integration og migration til Danmark, når den 14. internationale Metropoliskonference åbner dørene til Bella Centret til september. I løbet af fem dage vil internationale forskere, politikere og praktikere fra hele verden udveksle viden om, hvordan man i forskellige vestlige lande integrerer indvandrere. Samt hvilke konsekvenser og udfordringer, indvandringen – legal eller illegal – stiller modtagerlandene over for.
