Deres økonomi er ringere, og både støtten til familien og tilsynet med det enkelte barn er på et markant lavere niveau end hos traditionelle plejefamilier. Det viser den første undersøgelse af børn i slægtspleje i Danmark, der også slår fast, at børnene generelt trives bedre end børn i traditionel familiepleje.
