Der er mere end 200 narkorelaterede dødsfald årligt.   Nu viser en omfattende undersøgelse af den sociale stofmisbrugsbehandling i Danmark, som SFI har lavet, at mange af misbrugere har massive psykiske, sociale og fysiske problemer – og at de ofte har meget lidt kontakt til behandlingssystemet. Mange oplever, at de ikke får tilstrækkelig hjælp til at håndtere problemerne.   Der er desuden fokus på de pårørende i rapporten. En meget stor del af de pårørende til stofmisbrugerne føler, at de bliver inddraget for lidt i behandlingen. Der er endvidere et markant ønske fra de pårørende om støtte – fx fra en psykolog. Meget få pårørende har fået tilbud om information eller støtte fra behandlingsstederne. Forskeren bag rapporten fortæller på mødet om undersøgelsens resultater. To særligt inviterede gæsteoplægsholdere giver deres perspektiv på udfordringerne.
