I Danmark og Finland er anbringelse på døgninstitutionen dominerende. I Sverige og Norge er det langt mindre udbredt. Det viser en ny SFI-undersøgelse.   SFI har undersøgt, hvordan man i seks nordiske lande håndterer anbringelser af socialt udsatte unge. Både omfanget af anbringelser og valget af institutionstyper varierer betydeligt mellem landene. Samtidig ses der fælles udviklingstræk, blandt andet en øget privatisering af anbringelsesområdet.
