The Danish Institute for Human Rights has the pleasure of inviting you to a seminar with professor Ole Spiermann, who will be speaking on:
The individual as a Subject of International Law: the Impact of Human Rights Since 1948

Ole Spiermann is professor in International Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen. In his research he has dealt with a multitude of topics within international law and related disciplines, including international privacy law, EU law, human rights and constitutional law. Ole Spiermann is author of the most comprehensive presentation of international law in Scandinavia (Moderne Folkeret, 1999), the third edition of which was published in 2006. He graduated as PhD from Cambridge University on basis of a dissertation with the title International Legal Argument in the Permanent Court of International Justice: the Rise of the International Judiciary, which was published at Cambridge University Press in 2005. Ole Spiermann has published numerous articles in leading international scientific journals and has been contributor to several anthologies by leading international publishers.

The seminar takes place at the Danish Institute for Human Rights, the Nordskov Room, Wilders Plads 8H, 1401 Copenhagen K. Registration is not needed.
