Join Us as Project Manager for Major Foundations

Human Practice Foundation is seeking an experienced coordinator to lead our fundraising efforts for Major foundations. Join us in expanding our reach and providing more children with the education they deserve. 


About Human Practice Foundation 

At The Human Practice Foundation, we firmly believe that education is the most powerful catalyst for lasting change. Our mission is to build schools and foster entrepreneurship in areas where they are needed most, ensuring that thousands of children receive the best possible start in life. We operate on a 100% donation model, ensuring that every penny goes directly to specific projects, while administrative costs are covered by our Founding Partners. 

To date, we have initiated 116 school projects in Kenya and Nepal, impacting over 46,000 children through various programs. Looking ahead, our strategic goal is to expand our reach to 300 schools, with the possibility of impacting 150,000 children. Additionally, we are embarking on ambitious projects in coffee, tea, and agriculture to deepen our impact in the communities. 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for the grant application process for small and major foundations, develop persuasive proposals that articulate program impact, outcomes, and alignment with donor interests. 

  • Work closely with our local teams in Kenya/Nepal/Denmark, ensuring the latest information is applied to our proposals and applications. 

  • Map the foundation landscape and conduct thorough research on prospective foundations to understand their funding priorities and decision-making processes. 

  • Work jointly with our teams in Sweden and United Kingdom to strategically plan and prepare proposals for major foundations. 

  • Prepare high quality reports for grant givers and founding partners. 

Qualifications 

  • A master’s degree in fields such as International Development, Social Sciences, communication or a related discipline, is preferred. 

  • Experience within the space of humanitarian aid, development work or the nonprofit sector is a plus, but not a requirement. 

  • A+ written communication skills, for presentations, reports and email correspondence is a must. You make words matter. 

  • Flair for visualising proposals in Microsoft Powerpoint, ensuring that the visual identity of our proposals lives up to the standard expected from major foundations.

  • Strong written communication skills in both Danish and English. 

  • A meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in activities and communications. 

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a comprehensive overview of initiatives. 

  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and take initiative in driving efforts forward.
